This cosy B & B, with its natural thick stone walls, has been carefully restored with authentic details, the atmosphere of yesteryear with the comfort of today. It has all licences and is fully operational.
The house has six guest rooms all with a bathroom. In addition, there is a large dining room with wood stove in an original walk-in fireplace (so called Lareira). There are several communal areas. On the upper floor a cosy area, with a sofa. Downstairs there is a TV lounge plus an area set aside for reading. Obviously there is a kitchen in which the owner can prepare meals.
There is a large apartment for the owners. This also has a bathroom. This area is NOT suitable for
families.
All rooms, except the owner's apartment, are furnished.
The sale is also includes glassware, crockery, bed linen, towels, furniture in the public areas, white goods. Plus kitchen equipment and garden tools.
Next to the entrance, a balcony with an antique wooden bench, this overlooks the valley, the garden and the wine terraces on the other side of the river.
There is approx 2600m2 of land with many mature trees, apple, pear, plums, cherries, quince, dates chestnuts, walnuts and hazelnut bushes. All of the land is steeply terraced (gradient of about 17%). This allows for spectacular views on the wine terracing on the other side of the valley.
The land is divided up into four areas. One of which is presently dedicated for the guests garden, There is a vegetable plot, with it own well. Another section is dedicated as a "private" garden. With land, to the front of the house, zoned as parking for six cars.
Located in the historic area, known as the Ribiera Sacra, you will discover that the immediate vicinity has a lot to offer prospective guests. Apart from the natural beauty of the area, it is universally known for wine production
and Romanesque architecture, the B & B is located next to a beautiful 12th century church.
The Ribeira Sacra has already been given protected status in Spain and it is hoped that the area will become an official World Heritage
site.
There are many hiking trails, one of which starts in Santo Estevo and runs along the house. On the two local rivers (Sil and Miño) there are is the possibility for water sports, river cruises, fishing.

near to Casa Santo Estevo naturally include a health centre, bank and supermarkets are all within a few minutes drive away. Bread is delivered 6 days a week.
