Casa Santo Estevo your quiet holiday location in the heart of Galicia, Spain.

The CASA SANTO ESTEVO is situated in a small village located within the heart of nature. You will only have to open the door to follow the diverse routes through forests and vineyards to places like the villages of Diamondi, or Belesar.

Discovering the Ribeira Sacra can be done by car. Alternatively you could explore the area by walking, or by mountain bike (we have 2 for hire). We have many suggested routes that can be done throughout the year. Whatever your mode of transport you can be assured that it always will be a pleasure.

Nature here is a wonder. You can go bird watching and see things like eagles, storks, owls, or watch the pair of Kestrels flying around their nest in the local church. Wild flowers and insects prove to be of great interest too. Here you can see various species of stick insects, stag beetles and bees so black as the night and about 25 mm long! (We would love to know the species). Unfortunately we do not have enough space on our web site to list all of these sights, you will have to stay here and see them for yourself.

Our house, the CASA SANTO ESTEVO has been refurbished to complement it’s surroundings, which are dominated by magnificent ancient Chestnut woods that will hold your attention with their ancient charms and eternal presence.

The house is next to the magnificent church of Santo Estevo de Ribas de Miño. The only vestige of the old monastery that once existed here.

We are in the heart of the Ribeira Sacrá, an ideal point for anyone to begin any of the many ways that we can suggest you take to explore this timeless countryside.

Alternatively, if you prefer the inspirational views of the river, you can take a trip on a catamaran along either of the two main rivers: The Miño or The Sil.
